The SAWEA Conference Program Committee is soliciting students to present posters on water and wastewater related topics at the Water Arabia 2017 Conference & Exhibition. You are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to present your senior project, self-directed study, thesis, or dissertation to a national audience of water and wastewater academics and professionals.

SAWEA will review all submissions and select posters to exhibit at the conference. If your abstract is selected, you will be assigned a poster stall where you can present your topic with conference attendees in an informal setting. SAWEA committee members will also judge your poster for content and presentation and award prizes to the 3 best submissions. All Poster Presenters who are selected to attend the Conference will receive a 1-year WEF Membership.

Poster Guidelines

• Poster size to be 120 cm x 90 cm
• Size the poster content to be read easily from 1.5 meters away
• Be concise - Ensure a reader can take in your entire presentation in 3 – 5 minutes
• Prepare a short speech explaining your poster to readers
• You are responsible for printing your poster and bringing it to the conference
• SAWEA will provide push-pins and support board.

Submission Format Requirements

Submit an abstract for your poster conforming to the following requirements:

• Provide poster title
• Provide your name, affiliation, e-mail address, and physical address
• Provide summary describing your topic in 600 words or less
• Ensure your topic is relevant to the water/ wastewater industry

How to Submit Your Poster

• Complete your Poster in MS Word in compliance with the above formatting requirements.
• Sign and scan in Adobe PDF the Copyright Transfer Form (CTF).
• Email both documents to the:

• All abstracts and CTFs must be submitted by July 31, 2017. late submittals will not be considered.

All speakers must register for the Conference and are responsible for their own travel and lodging expenses. Thank you for your interest.
